An ongoing People of Color Sangha in Los Angeles
MEDITATION . COUNCIL . DHARMA TALK
with guiding teacher Michele Benzamin-Miki

When we walk a path of liberation we begin a life-long journey. As we walk that road we may get a few stones in our shoes. We can keep walking along that path with the rocks in our shoes, and still reach our destination. We can also stop to remove the stones.

Ongoing first (or second) Wednesday of every month.

NEXT MEETING
Please email manzanita@ordinarydharma.org and request to be put on the POC list

7:30pm - 9:30pm
Usually in Los Angeles - sometime Long Beach

"If you do not have a destination, a goal, then how can ever arrive? At the same time, if you have a goal, but are fixated on arriving there, without really know where you are right now, then you cannot fully know the steps you must take. To pursue your dreams and goals, AND to live fully in the present, THAT is key."

Buddhist teaching and practice lead us to the recognition that there is no separation between 'self' and 'other'. Let's find ways to implement this understanding in a way that truly nourishes and strengthens us? These evenings are a time of sharing for People of Color who come together to heal and to celebrate. Silent and guided meditation, walking meditation, with Dharma talk and discussion, and Council.

Suggested Donation $10-$35

Bring a cushion (or rolled-up blanket) and wear comfortable clothing. Also pass the word or bring others you feel would benefit from these gatherings and teachings.

Let go of any idea you are separate from the web of living beings. Let your life be informed by the understanding that all things are interconnected. Find ways to relinquish the indulgence and excess you have used as a substitute for love. Accept in their place the gift, the infinite pleasure, of boundless love.
